I hosted another round of ‘Neighbourhood Check-Ups’ at several different locations throughout Toronto-St. Paul’s on Sunday, October 1st. These meetings are a great way for me to catch up with community members in many parts of the riding, and they have become a crucial part of our ‘democracy between elections’ model.
As usual, we heard from constituents with thoughtful questions on many different issues. This time, the majority of people wanted to discuss the proposed changes to the tax system, and we had a great conversation on this subject, with a variety of different perspectives being shared. It is essential that my colleagues and I hear from Canadians on the issues that affect them most, and I truly appreciate the insightful feedback that we have received from Toronto-St. Paul’s residents.
Thank you to everyone who came out, I hope to see you at our next Neighbourhood Check-Ups in the winter!
