Over the first weekend in March, we hosted another round of Neighbourhood Check-Ups in Toronto-St. Paul’s. These meetings are an opportunity for constituents to discuss issues and share ideas about the issues that are most important to our community. They have become a crucial part of our ‘democracy between elections’ model.
We have been holding Neighbourhood Check-Ups for years, and I was I so was impressed to see the tremendous turnout of this round! Constituents shared a variety of thoughts including questions and concerns about electoral reform, immigration policies, refugee integration, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, environmental sustainability.
As always, I was thrilled with the level of knowledge and engagement in our community. I look forward to our next round in the Fall!
